  5. Male and Female Hormones Male Female Testosterone- Also know as "the male hormone" and "androgen". Testosterone is vital for the production of sperm. • Estrogen: Steroids Are primarily responsible for the conversion of girls into sexually-mature women. • development of breasts • further development of the uterus and vagina • broadening of the pelvis • growth of pubic and auxiliary hair • increase in adipose (fat) tissue
