  3. Introduction We are going to study different current workstation processors and compare them in terms: • frequency • size of cache • characteristics of the processor • power consumption • cost • technology advances.

Conclusion • Current processor technology has reached impressive levels and is advancing at a high speed • When looking for a processor to buy, the appropriate processor will depend on the needs, considering the different trade-offs that can emerge in the analysis of the different workstation processors. Ex. More speed mean more power consumption.
