Perception is the process of filtering and interpreting sensory data to create a meaningful picture of the world. This involves selecting, organizing, and interpreting information, influenced by our expectations and past experiences. The way we perceive things is subjective and influenced by various factors such as stereotypes, personal constructs, and scripts. To improve perception, it is important to realize its subjective nature, avoid mindreading, and check perceptions with others.
