Join the 5th Bad Design Competition hosted by HFES Penn State Chapter focusing on User Interface Design. Students can submit poorly designed interfaces with potential redesign ideas. Theme of this year – Interface Design • User interface • Input, allowing the users to manipulate a system • Output, allowing the system to indicate the effects of the users' manipulation
Rules • All students are eligible • Written description of why the design is bad with potential redesign ideas (at least 250 words) with your name and email address • Only individual submissions (no groups) • Multiple submissions allowed per individual

Evaluation • How well you understand and explain the problems? • How good is your redesign? • How significant is your improvement to the users? You submission will be evaluated by 3 HFES officersbased on a scale of 1-7 for each aspect.
