  1. A Life of Hope

  2. Definition of Hope Noun – A feeling of expectation and desire for something to happen. Verb – Wanting something to happen or be the case. Biblical – “Confident Expectation; A Certainty”

  3. The Difference Worldly hope comes attached with the possibility that something may not happen.

  4. A Life of Hope

  5. Hebrews 11:1 NIV Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.

  6. Titus 1:1-3 (NIV) Paul, a servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ to further the faith of God’s elect and their knowledge of the truth that leads to godliness—in the hope of eternal life, which God, who does not lie, promised before the beginning of time, and which now at his appointed season he has brought to light through the preaching entrusted to me by the command of God our Savior.

  7. I Peter 1:3-5 NIV Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you,who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.

  8. Romans 5:1-5 NIV Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God.Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance;perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.

  9. Romans 8:22-25 NIV We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the first fruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our bodies. For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.

  10. What Can We Confidently Expect? • Forgiveness Of Sin. • Redemption Of Our Bodies. • A God That Is For Us. (Romans 8:31) • A God That Will Never Leave Us. (Hebrews 13:5)
