Research Assessment Exercise 2008 Results • The Research Power Index, which measures quality and quantity of research, puts Queen’s in the UK top 20 • 11 subject areas are ranked within the UK top 10 and 24 within the UK top 20 for research • All areas had research assessed as world-leading (4* - the top grade available) • 25 of the 38 Units of Assessment submitted had 50% or more of their activity recognised as world-leading or internationally excellent
