  1. On This Day 12th March Commonwealth Day Commonwealth Day is celebrated annually on the second Monday in March. It is marked with a multi-faith service in Westminster Abbey, usually attended by Queen Elizabeth II as Head of the Commonwealth along with the Commonwealth Secretary-General and Commonwealth High Commissioners in London. The Queen delivers an address to the Commonwealth, which is broadcast around the world.

Papdale Winter Olympics The scores for the first two events of the Papdale Olympics are now in Hoppy Races 1st – Xbox Guides 2nd – Mushy Potatoes 3rd – Fabulous Five Hang Tough 1st – Crazy Coocoo Llamas 2nd – Red Knights 3rd – Fabulous Five The Leading Teams after two events are: 1st – Fabulous Five 2nd – Red Knights/Crazy Coocoo Llamas 3rd – Mushy Potatoes 4th – Xbox Guides/Shark Bite/The Flappers 5th - The Duck Squad Gold, silver and bronze medals will be awarded to the top three teams after all five events are completed.

  4. Papdale Winter Olympics The week the event is Team Skipping which will be held on the Hoppy Track at Break Times. Today the four teams competing are: Team Olympics, Xbox Guides, Fabulous Five and Snowball Girls. Please check the fixtures on the notice boards to see when your team is competing.

  5. Eco Club 6M are on LAW Duty this week. The results from our litter pick up will be shown at the Assemblies

  6. Well done to… Ailsa and Erica, our Papdale’s Got Talent Winners who performed the Sailor’s Hornpipe dance for us. Fantastic girls!

  7. Well done to… Well done to Fergus and Aidan who took part in a camping club at the weekend. They learned how to cook pancakes, learnt cooking skills for camping and said it was lots of fun!

  8. Well done to… Well done to Max, Callum, Keiran, Laurie, Finley, Innes, Murray and Finlay who took part in a BB’s Fun Day to celebrate the 100 year anniversary. They did games and had lots of fun!

  9. Well done to… Well done to Annie and Nuala who tried Squash at the weekend. They explained how to play Squash.

  10. Well done to… Well done to Meghann who got a certificate and a bronze medal for Badminton. Meghann has only been playing for around three weeks!

  11. Well done to… Well done to Payton, Elsie, Shannon, Molly, Jess, Lucy, Emma and Emily who travelled just outside Inverness to represent Orkney. The girls have won lots of medals!

  12. Well done to… Well done to Magnus who received a white belt in Kickboxing.

  13. Well done to… Well done to James who went bowling when he was in Aberdeen, and came 5th place.

  14. Well done to… Well done to Elsie and Shannon who passed their bronze fitness for gymnastics. This involved a test of how long you can hold a handstand, etc.
