  2. What lessons can be drawn in the course of implementation of the programs/projects in your sector? • Timely, appropriate and responsive implementation of PPAs had resulted to minimal loss of lives and properties during calamities

  3. 2. What are the impacts that have been observed, and how the local programs and projects contributed to such impact? • Appropriateness of PPAs contributed to the reduction of loss of lives and damage to properties.

  4. 3. Were there any programs and projects that yielded an adverse impact? What are these programs and projects? • Road Public Safety – increased travel time.

What are the programs and projects which are worthy of replication and thus have to be sustained? • For Replication: • Revetment Wall • Ripprapping • Reforestation Project • Establishment of OpCenter • Evacuation Facilities • To be sustained: • Dredging of waterways • Financial Tool (Insurances) • Acquisition of rescue equipments • M&E • Establishment of Early Warning System • CapDev • Road Safety • Improve of correctional and security services

  6. 5. What programs and projects exhibited high potential in reducing poverty? • Flood Control (Revetment Wall, Riprapping, Dredging of Waterways) • Financial Tool (Insurances) • Information Education and Communication (IEC)

  11. 9. How effective is the Balance Scorecard in project implementation? • Balance Scorecard sets direction to the sector which is anchored to the SM-BSC of PGAS • Tool for defining the function and performance of each employee.

  12. 10. What are the strategies to be further promoted? What are the strategies to be altered since they have not been proven to be effective? • Removal and desilting of waterways and drainage • Increased area of tree covered • Establishment of flood control structures • Relocation of families living in hazard prone areas / high risk areas
