  3. La Salle University • 7,000 undergraduate, graduate and continuing education students annually enroll in one of three schools: Arts and Sciences, Business and Nursing • Students come from 25 states and 37 foreign countries • Two-thirds of undergraduates live on campus • 90% of graduate students are working professionals attending part-time

  4. Project History • Routinely solicited by outside vendors about new technology • VP and Dean of Admission initially uninterested, but seeing is believing • Narrowed selection down to two great products

  27. Outcomes

  28. Successes • Able to offer a personalized, customizable web experience to prospective students • Increased ability to track students on our web site • Use of technology sends message to students and families about the institution

  29. Room for Improvement • Load process needs work • Multiple entry points and accounts cause confusion for students • Non Secure Self Service Login (web app) • Self Initiated Portal Login (PSP pages) • Secure Self Service Login (used to look at application requirements) • University Assigned Portal Login (enrolled students)

  30. Uncertainty • Hoped that our mods would be considered for an upcoming baseline prospective student portal. • Originally, the baseline product was to be ready in Spring 2003 • Unsure about the status of this project within SCT
