Tuition
  • Current fee schedule listed at www.uwindsor.ca/cashiers
  • Fees vary depending on program—approximately $2500.00 -$2900/semester plus books

How To Pay

Tuition may be paid:

  • Cashier’s Office (cheque, debit or cash)
  • Cashier’s Office drop box
  • Canadian chartered bank (bank payment form)
  • Mail (cheque or money order)
  • Internet
  • Telephone

Credit Cards are not accepted

How To Pay—Continued
  • Bank payment forms mailed to students after August 1—ensure correct address is on SIS
  • Forms only mailed to students currently registered—amount owing will reflect number of courses
  • Bank payment forms not an invoice—only required for bank payments
late fees
Late Fees
  • Fall tuition fees due on or before August 15, 2007
  • Winter tuition fees due on or before December 15 2007
  • Late fees applied immediately after these dates
  • No late fees for students waiting on OSAP who have previously applied
awards bursaries
Awards & Bursaries
  • Awards and bursaries from university are equally divided between semesters
  • Awards from outside institutions must be notified to Cashier’s office and costs must be covered until arrival
  • Bursaries:
    • Must attend University of Windsor one full semester before applying
    • Awarded on basis of grades, financial need, volunteer work, parental employment, etc.
    • Applications available online on SIS or Student Awards & Financial Aid Office

OSAP & Loans
  • OSAP & Loans:
    • Check status at http://osap.gov.on.ca
    • Bursaries and loans distributed 60% in fall and 40% in winter
    • Budgeting is important
  • OSAP Distribution:
    • First 2 weeks of semester
    • Check website for distribution details
    • Should receive if applied by OSAP deadline

  • Emergency Loan Fund:
    • Short term advance on forthcoming OSAP
    • Used if OSAP is delayed
    • Contact Student Awards & Financial Aid Office
  • Visit Student Awards & Financial Aid at Info Fair

  • Centre for Career Education:
    • Part-time job postings
    • Resume assistance
    • Mock interviews
    • Co-op program
  • Visit Centre for Career Education at Info Fair

  • Work Study:
    • Various opportunities on campus
    • $9.00/hour, 5-24 hours/week
    • Through Student Awards & Financial Aid Office
    • Applications available online mid-August
    • Show proof of financial need
    • Obtain work experience and network
health plan

  • Covered in tuition once per academic year:

Drug fees $128.00

Dental fees $ 84.00

Total opt out $212.00

  • Students with alternative coverage opt-out through UWSA during the month of September. You can do this online at www.uwsa.ca
  • Must show proof of alternative coverage—student’s name must appear on coverage card, or letter from provider must indicate student is covered by plan. Online registration requires the plan number to opt-out.
  • Cheque issued in November

  • Can be purchased before classes begin
  • Can also be purchased online
  • Cost between $400-800+

  • Parking passes available through Parking Services, CAW Student Centre
  • Parking pass:
    • $240.00/12 months
    • $200.00/ 8 months
  • Visit Parking Services at Info Fair to purchase. Visa, MC, Debit, Cheque or cash
  • Transit Windsor Bus Service:
    • $2.35/ride
    • Monthly pass $75; $208 per 4 months
travelling out of town
Travelling Out of Town
  • ISIC (International Student Identity Card):
    • Included in tuition fees
    • Provides travel discounts
    • Available through UWSA or Travel Cuts
    • Passport sized photo is not included in tuition fees.
  • Car Pool—out of town Ride Share Board, CAW Student Centre
