ISSP Mission • To promote research, practice, and development in the discipline of sport and exercise psychology throughout the world • - encourage and promote the study of human behaviour within sport, physical activity, and health settings • - facilitate the sharing of knowledge through a newsletter/website, meetings and a quadrennial congress • - improve the quality of research and professional practice in sport psychology • To endeavour to foster peace and understanding among people from all countries

ISSP Future Perspective • To increase the cooperation with other International Societies as one of the main issues in ISSP goals & activities • To provide support to the colleagues/professionals in less developed geographic regions (in terms of sport and exercise psychology) • to advocate combining scientific with cultural competence training together • international certification of consultant • professional education and training based on the regional/ national requests) • To promote S & E Psychology from a worldwide perspective via: • increasing quality of the IJSEP & being the most international journal of S & E Psychology • increasing quality of the ISSP website • publishing high quality books • organizing world congress and regional conference
