  1. FutureDAQ Workshop Munchen 25-26/03/04 Possible contribution of the Turin group to the DAQ Abstract: Outline of the know how available to contribute as foreseen to the data acquisition project in collaboration with Giessen and TUM groups.

  2. Introduction • Several, past and present, activities of the Turin group: • -OBELIXexperiment at CERN from 1985 to 1996; • Front-end electronics and DAQ for the • Axial Field Spectrometer . • -DISTO experiment at SATURNE from 1990 to 1997; • front-end electronics for the MWPC and SciFi • Trigger and DAQ Systems. • -COMPASS experiment at CERN from 1997 to ---; • Front-end electronics and test systems for the MWPC • Test systems for the RICH readout GASSIPLEX(ASIC) . • --EUSO experiment from 2000 to ---; • -Test systems for the light detection readout of theMultianode • Photomultipliers (MARS - ASIC) .

  3. OBELIX EXPERIMENT AFS READOUT SYSTEM 1985-1996

  4. DISTO EXPERIMENT ACQUISITION SYSTEM 1990-1997

  5. COMPASS EXPERIMENT 1998-

  6. MWPC FRONT-END CARD FOR COMPASS EXPERIMENT 1998-

  7. MARS CHIP TEST SYSTEM FOR EUSO EXPERIMENT 2001- FPGA

  8. Conclusion Considering all the acquired experiences, the Torino group could give a valid contribute,as foreseen, together with the TUM and Giessen groups, to the DAQ for the PANDA experiment. Presently the Torino group is involved in COMPASS, EUSO and DUBTO. In a later stage some additional help can be given by the INFN electronics service(of Turin section) now fully busy with LHC experiments. As soon as the EU funding will be available we will hire personnel to accomplish the required tasks with the foreseen sharing of 50% with the Turin group contribution.
