  3. Run GL Adjustments

  4. Run GL Adjustments • Navigate to GL>Adjustments and click the New button(if this is the first adjustment, the New adjustment window will automatically).

  5. Run GL Adjustments • Select the GL Adjustment date range. • Click the Find Adjustments button. Found adjustments will be listed in the Scanned box.

  6. Run GL Adjustments • To examine individual adjustments, select the adjustment and any corresponding information will be displayed in the Records box.

  7. Run GL Adjustments • When finished, select the command button Post Adjustments.

  8. Create Backups

  9. Create Backup In SQL Management • Right-click the database and select Tasks>Backup • In the General Pane, Click Add in the lower portion of the window. Be sure to remove any entries with the Remove feature, if available. • Specify a backup name and destination • Usually cannot be directly in the C:/ folder • Must include .bak in the file name • Click OK

Restore from a Backup • Right-click the database folder under the server and select Tasks>Restore>Database • Specify the database name that eoStar will look for under the To Database field (the DB name on the old server) • Select From Device and specify the .bak file to be restored • Once the .bak file is specified, switch to the Options pane in the top-left of the window • Ensure that all files listed in the grid have a different filename ending (usually its _1 through _4, with the one file being numberless). • Click OK from the General pane of the Restore Window

  12. Download and Install • eonetservices.zip • Setup.msi • eoMobileCFCAB

  14. eonetservices.zip • Open IIS on the server that controls communication with the handhelds and expand the tree to see eonetservice.

  15. eonetservices.zip • Right-click on eonetservice and navigate to Deploy >Delete Application and Content • Click OK when prompted.

  16. eonetservices.zip • Right-click on Default Web Site and choose Deploy>Import Application

  17. eonetservices.zip • Browse for and select the eonetservices.zip file

  18. eonetservices.zip • Click Next and then pick the defaults to install eonetservice.

  20. Setup.msi • If applicable, remove the last version of eoStar.

  21. Setup.msi • Download latest version of eoStar from either: • http://eosupport.ruthsx.com/sites/CustomerSupport/YourCompany/default.aspx • FTP site

  22. Setup.msi • Install the new eoStar package from the supplied folder by double-clicking Setup • Select Run and following the setup prompts (choose default options).

  23. Setup.msi • Once complete, each workstation will need to uninstall eoStar and install the new version. • Uninstall existing version of eoStar • Install eoStar 2013 • Delete the ION cache

  24. Setup.msi • After all stations have been upgraded, log into the database to upgrade the DB (using either “test” or “live”).

  25. Setup.msi • Click on Upgrade schema now

  26. Setup.msi NOTE: If you receive a “Database is in use” popup, it means there are currency tokes locked in the database.

  27. Setup.msi By clicking the Currency manager button, you can examine outstanding locks and eliminate old and unnecessary locks .

  28. Setup.msi • When prompted, click Done. The database will have been upgraded to the new version.

  29. Setup.msi • Next, navigate to File>Database Administration>Recompute>GL Accounts, to access the Recompute GL Accounts window.

  30. Setup.msi • In the popup window, leave the Ledger batch blank and choose your date range. Leave the default boxes checked.

  31. Setup.msi • When finished with your selections click Start recompute. When it’s finished exit back to the main menu.

  32. Setup.msi • Once the recompute has finished, re-run the GL Adjustments process.

  34. eoMobile CFCAB • Handhelds and tablets will also have to be upgraded to the new version of eoMobile. • After a version is assigned, it becomes available on the handheld through an Upgrade.

  35. eoMobile CFCAB • Go to Records>Handheld>Mobile Device Manager.

  36. eoMobile CFCAB • Click the command button Get Latest Version Information. This obtains the very latest version published by Rutherford.

  37. eoMobile CFCAB • Select the handheld records and click the command button Assign Version.

  38. eoMobile CFCAB • Highlight and select the version from the version options list. • Choose the mobile device push date and click the command button Assign Selected Version.

  39. eoMobile CFCAB • When the users of the mobile device full syncs, they will see a link on their display to upgrade to the new version. • NOTE: After the upgrade on the mobile device has been completed, the user will need to reconfigure the printer settings on the handheld, choosing a specific printer, rather than a general manufacturer.
