  2. Biology & Medicine Division The Biology and Medicine Division (BMD) of American Nuclear Society focuses on the biological applications and medical uses of the atom.

  3. Biology & Medicine Mission Members focus on the application and development of nuclear technology for the life sciences, as well as the impact of such technology on society. Areas of interest include neutron, photon, and charged-particle applications, dosimetry, radiographic and radioisotope imaging, radionuclide production, bone and tissue dosimetry, biological effects of radiation exposure, and other related subjects.
