The pilgrimage • The last Sunday of April is the pilgrimage in honor of the Patroness of Tomelloso (Ciudad Real), La Virgen de las Viñas, the Shrine of Pinilla, four kilometers from the city in the direction of Pedro Muñoz. If you want to enjoy a different weekend, full of culture, traditions, customs and days in the country, learn the ropes and a wealth of entertainment, party!

Hermitage of the Virgen de las Viñas • Location    It is located 4 kilometers from Tomelloso, Pinilla in the enclosure, which is accessed by road from Pedro Muñoz.Description    The Hermitage is a cruise ship with, dominated by a beautiful picture of the owner, the Blessed Virgin of the Vineyards.    Since its doors in wrought iron and glass, furniture, stained glass with the four evangelists, to painting the ceiling of the chapel of the Virgin which is a work of art, Ezequiel Cano painter's work is worthy of admiration.

In 1942, at the initiative of then pastor of the Church of the Assumption, Agustin Moreno Luján, was proclaimed patroness of the city the Blessed Virgin of the Vineyards, and built his Brotherhood.    Since the Virgen de las Viñas came to town, the neighborhood turned to her, cheering and dedicating novenas, processions triduums, but held no pilgrimages, not being crafted from the Sanctuary.    Finally, women with their prayers, persistence and perseverance, succeeded on Sunday 7 May 1944 is celebrated the first pilgrimage. And in 1945 when they began building the sanctuary on the site of Pinilla, four kilometers from the town, and was completed with the help of the neighborhood in 1949.
