Salary commensurate with skill levels and training. • No four year degree required. Certificates or a two year Degree available. • Work hour flexibility in many cases. • Wide range of careers.

  3. Why Commercial Graphics? • This major has been around for a lot of years. Its so many different printing methods you can use to make different things. Its not hard, just takes a little studying and practice and you will have it down pack.

  4. Gravure Printing Also can be called • ENGRAVING, • INTAGLIO or • ETCHED printing

  5. Lithography Printing • This is one of the most widely used printing process in the commercial printing industry. • This process is used mostly on • NEWSPAPERS • BOOKS • MAGAZINES • PAMPHLETS • And other forms of paper publications.

  6. Fraud Prevention & Security Printing • The company’s that fall victims by this the most are Tide Laundry Detergent and Head & Shoulders Shampoo. • Using shifting inks will effectively reduce fradulent printing and packaging (as on the U.S. $100 bill)

  7. Relief Printing • This is the oldest of the printing methods. • During this process Images are transferred from and image which is raised, or in relief, from the non image area.

  8. Flexography Printing • Used mainly on • PAPER BACK BOOKS • LABLES • PACKAGING MATERIALS • During this process it uses rubber plates to transfer the image from the plate to the object to be printed.

  9. Screen Printing • During this process you transfer an image by allowing ink to pass through openings in a stencil that has been applied to a screen mesh. • Mainly used on • ROUND PLASTIC CONTAINERS • LARGE DISPLAY SIGNS • BILLBOARDS • T-SHIRTS
