1. What’s New in 2019 From Willow Tree® Willow Tree® continues to offer new sculptural pieces that speak quietly to both the giver and receiver of artist Susan Lordi’sfigures. As is the case with all of her artwork, Lordi’sfigurative sculptures for 2019 feature expressions revealed through gestures only. For the past 20 years, Lordi has handcrafted figures in her Kansas City, Missouri studio, while bringing them to people’s hearts and homes across the globe.Take a look at what’s in store from Willow Tree® for 2019. Everyday Blessings Have you ever been in awe of an old tree’s strong, reaching branches, or marveled at the beauty of a brilliant sunset? Beauty is all around us—we just need to look. Lordi’s Everyday Blessings figure is a celebration of natural beauty, a reminder of what makes us stand in awe of the world, or a symbol of what lifts our spirits.With her outstretched arms, the Everyday Blessings piece represents warm and wondrous blessings,which can be displayed as part of the Nativity Collection or as an everyday stand-alone piece. Wishing Wanting the best for others,and for yourself for that matter, is a natural part of the human condition. The Wishing figure is left open for interpretation—a signature idea across all of Lordi’s work. With the figure gently placing her hands together on the side of her face, Wishing could mean you are missing someone, hoping for dreams to come true, or sending a healing wish of comfort to a loved one. Interpreting Lordi’s work is an entirely personal experience. Wishing could bedisplayed along with Everyday Blessings, as part of the Nativity Collection, or on its own.

It’s noteworthy to mention that Everyday Blessings and Wishing are slightly different in size from the other traditional Willow Tree® family figures as they are more petite, yet taller than the Willow Tree® small figures. Stunning gold leaf embellishes both pieces. 2019 Ornament: An Abundant Year of Memories Figurine ornaments commemorating a year filled with new babies, marriages, or any milestone events make lovely gifts year-round. This year’s ornament features a woman cradling a bouquetof white roses with the year 2019 nestled in the middle of the bouquet in applied gold leaf. It symbolizes a wish for everyone to experience a year filled with abundant memories and makes a lovely gift for friends and family. Coming Soon: A figure called Sanctuary will be available online from Willow Tree® in June 2019 (and in select stores April 2019). Sanctuary is a stunning figure featuring a woman gently cradling a baby against her chest and cheek. Love surrounds the piece featuring a woman and child.
