Interagency Coordination Updates Supportive School Discipline Initiative • New ED guidance and resource list in early 2014 • SY 2011-12 CRDC released on-line at: http://ocrdata.ed.gov/ • School Discipline Consensus Report, Council of State Governments, www.csg.org • SSDCOP continuation and expansion in 2014, www.ssdcop.neglected-delinquent.org

Interagency Coordination Updates Juvenile Reentry Subcommittee of the Federal Interagency Reentry Council (FIRC) • Calls open to State/local contacts 1-2 times/quarter • Next meeting/call: • Monday, December 16, 2-3:30 pm Dial: 1-877-952-0285, code 2201679# • Topics: • Directory of agencies, programs and initiatives • Facilitate coordination of intersecting grantees and initiatives • Review every agency’s juvenile reentry data • Human trafficking and criminalization of youth homelessness

Child Count Submission and Verification Timeline 2014 N or D Child Counts • Due date: January 15, 2014 • Send to NorD-DataFY2014@ed.govwith scanned signed certification, or by post to SASA Director • Feb-March: SASA compares to 2013 counts and contacts you if changes are greater than 10% (at least for Subpart 1) • Spring: Preliminary allocations to Title I State Directors • June: Counts can only be adjusted down, not up (especially S1)

CSPR/EDFacts Submission and Verification Timeline Submission (Jan-Feb) • 1/6-2/14: SY 2012-13 CSPR Part II Submission • 2/13 (Thurs): Last day for EDFacts submission Review & Recertify (Feb-April) • 2/17-3/14: ED & NDTAC check data and prepare comments • 3/24-4/4: States correct and recertify data Final Review (April-May) • 4/7-18: NDTAC and ED check data again, may contact States • 4/21: Notified for late opening May 5-7

  7. Release of SY 2012-13 CSPR Data Spring into Summer 2014: • GPRA measures and leading indicator baselines calculated and EDFactsLEA level data checked Late Summer/Fall 2014: • SY 12-13 data made public on ED Data Express and in 2-page data summaries
