  2. Project Steps Receive assigned poem. Read it individually for homework, marking any poetic devices, making observations in the margins, and writing an interpretation in preparation for group’s first meeting. Meet with group, re-read assigned poem together, discuss, & complete QVP3CR Choose 2 jobs per student: • RESEARCHER • POEM ANALYZER • ARTIST • POETRY READER/PRESENTER

  3. Researchers – research poet’s life and create a timeline for the project which will appear on group’s poster • Poem Analyzers – Work more closely with the poem and Mrs. H. so they are able to explain the poem to the class • Artists -- Come up with a design concept for the poster and represent all components of the QVP3CR on it • Poet Readers/Presenters – Read the poem dramatically to the classand share the poster during the group presentation

  4. DAILY… • a “to-do” list will be displayed on the screen. • Group members are to complete a task sheet for the day • Participation points are earned AT LEAST ONCE… • Mrs. H. will meet with your group about your poem • You should rehearse your presentation

  5. Point Values • INDIVIDUAL – 50 to 60 pts. Reading poem & completing assignment • GROUP (Shared) – 100 pts. “Progress Checks” Poster Presentation
