  4. STANDARD- 7N.S. 1.2ADD, SUBTRACT, MULTIPLY, AND DIVIDE FRACTIONS.

  5. OBJECTIVE- HUSKIES WILL BE ABLE TO ILLUSTRATE HOW TO ADD, SUBTRACT, MULTIPLY, AND DIVIDE LIKE/UNLIKE FRACTIONS.

  6. Vocabulary

  7. ADDING/ SUBTRACTING “LIKE” FRACTIONS • Add/subtract numerators and then reduce (simplify) fraction.

  8. Example # 1 +

  9. ADDING/ SUBTRACTING “UNLIKE” FRACTIONS • Find the “LCM” and then change fractions into “like” fractions and add/ subtract numerators, then reduce.

  12. Multiplying fractions • Multiply the numerators and then multiply the denominators. Then reduce.

  15. Dividing fractions • Flip the second fraction (reciprocal). Then multiply the numerators and then multiply the denominators. Then reduce.
