  1. How to put ink in HP printer To put ink in an HP Printer, you need to check if the current cartridge is empty. Replace empty ink cartridges with genuine ink cartridges. Load the paper correctly in the input tray, and then replace one or both cartridges as required. Replacing a cartridge with new one on the HP printer Open the ink access door of the cartridge. Wait till the printer is silent before continuing. Remove the ink cartridge from its slot. Remove the new ink cartridge from all its packaging. Hold the ink cartridge by its sides. Insert it with the contacts facing towards the printer. Place the new ink cartridge into its slot till it snaps into place.  Align the ink cartridges and print an alignment page. Replacement of a new ink cartridge on the HP printer Before you replace the ink cartridges and start the alignment process do these steps to load paper in the printer. Grasp the holder on the input tray, and then pull the tray to open it. The Close Tray screen displays on the control panel of the printer with the message, 'A paper tray is open.'   2. out. Slide the paper width guides as far as you can. Load paper into the paper tray. Push the paper tray till it snaps into its place. Switch on the printer. Open the ink cartridge access door. Lightly press down the empty cartridge and release the clutch. Take the ink cartridge out from the slot on the left to replace the tri- color ink cartridge. Similarly, take the ink cartridge from the right slot to replace the black ink cartridge. Pull the ink cartridge from of its slot, and then set it away for recycling. Recycle any low or empty ink cartridges. The Inkjet Supplies Recycling Program is available in many regions/countries, and it is free of charge. Remove the new ink cartridges from its packages.  Pull the orange tab and remove the tape which is protecting the ink cartridge. The copper color contacts or the ink nozzles should not be touched.  Handling these parts can result in ink failure, clogs, non-working electrical conditions. Slide the new ink cartridge in at a slight upward angle into the slot which is empty, and then gently push the ink cartridge until it snaps into place. Close the ink cartridge access door and then press OK.
