JAPAN -- IPv6 Council • Initiated by Ministry of Public Management, Home Affairs, Posts and Telecommunications • Chair: Jun Murai • Not only router vendors and service providers, but home appliance developers etc. are involved • TAO (Telecommunications Advancement Organization of Japan) conducts a nation-wide IPv6 experiment including home appliance application development, using budget of 8 billion Yen (= $ 800k).

  29. 我國IPv6發展現況 – TWNIC 發展現況 • Established an IPv6 working group under TWNIC IP committee (Sept. 2000) • Created an IPv6 website inviting all who are interested in the topic • Participated IPv6 Forum (April 2001) • Help domestic ISPs to apply for commercial IPv6 addresses. At present HINET and TANET have obtained /35 sub-TLA addresses and the other application from SEEDNET is currently pending. • Help to build Taiwan Academic IPv6 Network • Report to NICI (10/3) • Held the Establishment of IPv6 Forum Taiwan Discussing Meeting (10/12)

  32. IPv6推動委員會 – 研究發展小組 • 預計參加單位 包括國科會(相關研究計畫)、經濟部(學界、業界 科專計畫)、電信國家型計畫辦公室等,並結合相 關業者及大學與研究機構 • 預計重點研究項目 • OSPFv6, Mobile IPv6, IPv6 Multicast, IPv6 stateful configuration • IPv6 Security • Voice over IPv6 • 定址空間架構設計 • 關鍵應用軟體 (Killer applications)等

IPv6推動委員會 – 標準測試小組 • 預計參加單位 • 研發單位: 資策會、中華電信研究所、工研院電通所、中研院 及各大學等學術單位 • 網路設備商: Cisco, Ericsson, Nokia, Notel, etc. • 軟體業者: Microsoft, Compaq, Sun, etc. • 網路終端設備商: 國內ADSL, L2/L3 switch, bluetooth 設備商 • 國內IA 與 Mobile Handset 業者( i.e. liaison with TCA ) • 第一二類網路業者 • 預計重點工作 • 訂定標準測試的宗旨和目標 • 尋找合適的地點以建置測試環境 • 尋找有興趣的廠商以提供相關設備 • 訂定測試項目、測試範圍、測試方法及依循的標準 • 提供適合的單位進行相關測試,並彙整結果,供各界參考。 • 與國際IPv6測試組織進行交流 • 定期舉辦測試研討會

  34. IPv6推動委員會 – 骨幹建設小組 • 預計參加單位 包括國家高速電腦中心(TANet2)、教育部電算中心(TANet)、電信國家型計畫辦公室(NBEN)、TWNIC、 中華電信( HiNet,TWIX)、台灣固網、東森寬頻電信、 新世紀資通各固網業者及 SeedNet等ISP 業者 • 預計重點工作 • 建立IPv6骨幹維護管理運作機制 • 推動國內IPv6網路互連及與其他國際IPv6網路 互連合作 • 協助建置Native IPv6 網路 • 訂定IPv6位址分配與管理政策

  35. IPv6推動委員會 – 應用推廣小組 • 預計於90年12月成立IPv6 Forum Taiwan • 透過會員制之方式,結合產官學研各單位 之力量共同推廣。 • 擬定推廣目標及計畫 • 提供國內各界獲取IPv6知識與技術的管道 • 提高市場對IPv6的瞭解 • 支援IPv6技術及應用的發展 • 舉辦IPv6相關研討會議 • 出版IPv6相關文件期刊論文

  36. IPv6推動委員會 – 應用推廣小組 • 於 90 年 10月12日召開「籌備成立IPv6 Forum Taiwan」討論會 • 與會單位及人員共計為 18 單位 23 人 • 主要建議事項: • 支持IPv6 Forum Taiwan之成立,產、官、學、研應共同參與 相互配合,以加速國內IPv6推廣。 • Forum之主要目標為促進資訊交流與知識共享等應用推廣,而 非標準制定。 • 初期組織應以精簡而有效率為考量,各項計畫可階段性完 成,再逐步擴充 Forum 的功能及範圍。 • 初期二至三年運作所需經費建議可由科專方式籌措,並請 NICI協調相關事項。 • 建議委請工研院電通負責儘快研擬 IPv6 Forum 之成立模 式、 入會辦法、組織架構等規劃,並訂定明確之時間表。
