  2. Agenda • SSR • Reminders • Workshop time (write out your rough draft) HW: Fahrenheit is DUE next week. Rough draft is due on Tuesday 2/11.

Reminders and Tips • Focus on one short incident which lasted only a few seconds, to a moment in time. • If it lasts much longer, you will not be able to include all the details that are needed in order to bring the incident to life and get a good grade on the paper! • Your paper must: • Develop a consistent point of view. • Develop a definite and clear setting. • Catch the reader’s attention by employing a range of figurative language, symbolism, sensory details, and a great deal of imagery. • Use AND UNDERLINE at least one example of EACH of the “Five Brushstrokes” in your writing. • The incident should be approx. two pages, typed, double-spaced. • The paper should demonstrate a strong command in spelling, grammar, usage, and/or mechanics.
