  1. SPIRITUAL BOOMERANGS “Whoso digs a pit shall fall into it; and he that rolls a stone, it shall return to him” (Prov. 26:27).

  2. More “Wisdom” From Solomon “As you have done, it shall be done unto you: your reward shall return on your own head” (Obadiah 15) The Bible is filled with everyday lessons. God’s primary intent (I think)is the salvation of our souls. He is also interested in our everyday life. You know what a boomerang is…

  3. Sin and Folly Isn’t “Over” “Be sure your sins will find you out” (Num. 32:23). Time to “pay the fiddler.” David and Bathsheba 2 Sam. 12:7-12 Guilt, scars on character, regrets, shame, loss of health and soul. “Sow the wind, reap the whirlwind” (Hos. 8:7).

  4. Watch Out For the Tongue Lying – “Bread of deceit is sweet to a man: but afterward his mouth shall be filled with gravel” (20:17). Loss of trust – “Crying wolf.” Bragging, Gossiping, etc come back to haunt. Good and Kind Words – “A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth” (12:14).

  5. Laziness “Confidence in a faithless man in time of trouble is like a bad tooth and an unsteady foot (25:19) {reversed} “Slothfulness casts into a deep sleep; and an idle soul shall suffer hunger” (19:15). 2 Thess 3:10 A desperately needed lesson today. The world owes me nothing, but…

  6. Diligent Effort “The recompense of a man’s hands shall be rendered to him” (12:14) “Do you see a man skilled in his work? He will stand before kings; He will not stand before obscure men” (22:29).

  7. Judgment Not “final” but the opinion of others – rendered and received. Matt. 7:1-2 We judge others hastily, harshly, loudly. Or kindly and with understanding. It’s amazing how we usually reap what we sow – Gal. 6:7.
