  2. Data Protection notice When discussing members of the public, all agencies and individuals will agree to respect their confidentiality. The disclosure of information outside this meeting, should not occur unless there is a legal basis for a disclosure. Community Priorities Warwickshire Police is obliged to protect communities from harm in line with the ‘Police Priorities’ This may mean in exceptional circumstances SNT officers may be required to work on other policing priorities. If this happens there will be a need to re-negotiate priorities. This will be done in liaison with the Chair of the panel

  3. SNT Priorities • Speeding vehicles – Tamworth Road/ Coventry Road, Kingsbury. • Speeding vehicles – Birmingham Road, Nether Whitacre/ Hams Hall. • Speeding vehicles – Birmingham Road, Water Orton.

  4. Speeding vehicles – Tamworth Road/ Coventry Road, Kingsbury. • 19 targeted patrols & speed checks carried out at the location. • No vehicles were recorded travelling at excess speed on three of the speed checks. • On the other sixteen speed checks, a total of 62 vehicles were recorded travelling at excess speed. 3 drivers were issued with FPNs (fixed penalty notices) the other motorists were given verbal warnings and advisory letters.

  5. Speeding vehicles – Birmingham Road, Nether Whitacre/ Hams Hall. • 12 targeted patrols & speed checks carried out at the location. • No vehicles were recorded travelling at excess speed on seven of the speed checks. • On the other five speed checks, a total of 20 vehicles were recorded travelling at excess speed. 1 driver was issued with a FPN (fixed penalty notice), the other motorists were given verbal warnings and advisory letters. • One driver was reported for driving without insurance.

  6. Speeding vehicles, Birmingham Road, Water Orton. • 12 targeted patrols & speed checks carried out at the location. • Vehicles were recorded travelling at excess speed on all of the speed checks. • A total of 90 vehicles were recorded travelling at excess speed. 3 drivers were issued with FPNs (fixed penalty notices), the other motorists were given verbal warnings and advisory letters. • A site meeting took place on 11th July. It was agreed that the 30mph warnings would be re-painted on to the surface of the road to remind motorists of the speed limit. • ‘Slow Down’ wheelie bin stickers have been delivered to local businesses & residents. • PCSO MCMURCHIE is exploring the possibility of setting up a Community ‘Speed Aware’ Scheme with local residents and Warwicksire County Council.

  7. Other Work • Littering ticket issued, Sec 59 Warning given and one arrested for dangerous driving at Kingsbury Link. – PCSOs SCOTT, MCMURCHIE & PC STAFFORD • On 8th July 2013 a property in Vicarage Lane, Water Orton was broken into and a vehicle was stolen from the address. Following a police investigation, two males were arrested by Nuneaton CID and they have subsequently been charged for this offence. • Kingsbury PCSO Pete Beale has started to launch the Neighbourhood Watch Scheme across the Boating community at Bodymoor Heath

  8. Other Work • Van seized in Kingsbury for no insurance after PCSO BEALE came across two suspicious males in coventry Road, Kingsbury. • Motorbike seized in Kingsbury by PCSO SCOTT. • Motorbike seized in Whitacre Heath by PCSO Gavin SCOTT on 6th July. • Off road bikers were disrupted near Hams Hall on 10th July by PC STAFFORD & PCSO MCMURCHIE. • On Sunday 18th August 2013, PC 1664 KIM STAFFORD and PCSO 6129 Caroline MCMURCHIE worked on a joint operation with West Midlands Police. The officers focussed on disrupting the activities of illegal car cruisers on the A38, Bassetts Pole and Hams Hall Industrial Estate.

  9. North Warwickshire Community Safety Partnership activity • Be Safe burglary packs being distributed to victims of domestic burglary • Packs include 'Be Safe' booklet, 2 x window alarms, 1 x door handle alarm, home security checklist and a CAPS messaging form.

  10. Preparation work on extending Town Safe scheme into Coleshill starting to be arranged • Funding available from NWBC and the Police and Crime Commissioner to support scheme if local businesses sign up • 3 additional Nomad 3g mobile cctv cameras being deployed
