  1. WELCOME TO GMO & CO.

  2. What is it to genetically modify? Anything that has been genetically modified is something that has had its Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) altered using genetic engineering techniques. It may also be known as recombinant DNA technology. We use DNA molecules from different sources and we combine them and this creates a new set of genes. This creates a new structure (food, organism, etc.).

  3. GM Foods & Starvation Now that you know what is it to genetically modify we can talk. In our company, we support the use of genetic modification. GM & CO. understands the risks involved in genetically modifying foods, but we believe the benefit of GM foods far outweighs the costs. If we were to stop using GM food, starvation would become a larger problem because of the Earth’s grand population. Starvation is a much more intense threat to people than any threat currently presented by GM food. We use our technology to make the food larger, more filling, etc.

  4. Improvements by GM Foods Genetically modified foods have the potential to solve much of the world's hunger and malnutrition problems. It could also solve the problems of, harsh weather conditions by making the food cold tolerant, herbicide (plant killer) by making it Herbicide tolerant, harsh location issues by making the plant drought tolerant and stronger, etc.

  5. Medical Uses for GM Foods One way that GM could be a medical benefit is that we could make the food have the ability to help people with diabetes. People suffering from diabetes cannot produce enough insulin, genetic engendering is a way for such people to get insulin from external sources easily and conveniently.

  6. Our Experimenting With GMOs Although GM & CO. mostly modifies food, we also do take part in genetically modifying organisms as experiments from time to time. For example: GloFish, GloFish are a series of genetically modified (GM) fluorescent zebrafish with bright red, green, yellow, and orange fluorescent color. These GloFish are used as a pet, they are one of the genetically modified organisms that we have experimented with and it has got successfully.
