  3. សមាគមនាវាយុវជនអាស៊ីអាគ្នេយ៍កម្ពុជាសមាគមនាវាយុវជនអាស៊ីអាគ្នេយ៍កម្ពុជា SSEAYP International Cambodia • Established on 16 June 2005 • We have around 400 members led by 1 President and with 21 executive committees handling on • Finance, Logistics, Member Relations, Public Relations, Training, Media and International Program.

VISION: • To become a leading youth association in Cambodia focusing on learning, sharing, and exchanging knowledge and experiences as well as empowering youth in social contribution and collaboration to achieve peace and mutual understanding among ASEAN and Japan. MISSION: • Working to encourage and promote youth participation in international and local programs as well as social activities in order to promote peace, friendship, mutual understanding and leadership.

Objectives of SIC: • To build network and keep connection among ex-participating youths of Ship of Southeast Asian Youth Program • To develop and perform all activities of Alumni through regular information sharing • Actively participate in social contribution and development with self-discipline • To organize any exchange program in order to tighten friendship and mutual understanding among youths in ASEAN and Japan

Objectives of SIC: • To raise fund for Alumni in order to achieve Alumni’s objectives and activities • To cooperate with General Department of Youth of Ministry of Education Youth and Sports in order to fulfill youth activities related to Ship for Southeast Asian Youth Program (SSEAYP) • To strengthen and expend friendship and collaboration among SSEAYP Alumni of all ASEAN countries and Japan in the name of member of SSEAYP International.

Activities: • Pre-departure Training Every year 28 Participating youth are selected from various educational and professional background and one as National Leader is nominated from Government to participate in SSEAYP. This 29 participants need to come through Pre-Departure Training conducted by SIC to be qualified to the program. In the training, we train on Activities on board the ship, Discussion Program, Team Building, Solidarity group activities, Club activities, Cultural, and Social activities as well as Lecture on Leadership and Institutional Visit. The PDT usually kicks off from July to early of October every year end.

  10. International Exchange Program: Every year we send our Executive Member and active member to ASEAN countries and properly Japan for international youth exchange program regarding with various topics including environment, terrorism, security, youth development and leadership etc.

  11. Social & Local Program: a. Social Contribution Activities: it is the activity that is required each batch of participating youth conducted before and after they are back from SSEAYP and the Alumni also organize and support accordingly.

Youth Empowerment and Inspiration Camp: This program is specially designed to get Ex-participating youth to share all knowledge and experience gained from SSEAYP program to other youth from different background and to allow those youth to learn to open and to live together peacefully and harmonically during the camp. This program is one of the new projects that has just recently thrown on the list and shall put into force in the future.

Charity Program and Reunion Party: We usually conducted charity program or fund raising program once a year in order to support Alumni and any event required as in April 2011, we had done fund raising activities in order to contribute some amount of cash to the victim of Tsunami and Earthquake in Japan through IYEO (Japanese Youth Organization). And, 18 June 2011, we organized a reunion party to get together all members to celebrate the 6th Anniversary of official Alumni establishment.

SSEAYP Dissemination: Before SSEAYP selection test takes place, every year the Alumni collaborated with fresh ex-participating youth (ex-py) conduct SSEAYP announcement and explanation to the students in private and public institutions and youth who are interested in applying for this regular program. This program is aimed to give an overview of what is SSEAYP and selection process made by Youth Department of Ministry of Education Youth and Sports to the participants who are between 18 to 30 years old eligible for the program.

  17. SSEAYP Selection Exam Inspection: Every year from Youth Department, Alumni Executive Member is invited to be an invigilator for SSEAYP Selection Test in order for transparency and fairness for examinee.
