  1. Maximise Your Short Visit to the Gold Coast

  2. The Gold Coast is one of the most popular destinations for those travelling to Australia - and for good reason! While you could spend several days or more exploring the many attractions and highlights that include Gold Coast activities for the entire family, sometimes you have much less time than you'd hoped.

  3. But, just because you will only have a day or two in the Gold Coast, doesn't mean you can't get a great sense of the area and everything it has to offer. Here are some of the top attractions that every visit should include:

  4. Soak Up Some Sun at Surfers Paradise This isn't one of the most iconic beaches in the world for no reason! Every year, tourists flock to the famed Surfers Paradise to sunbathe, surf and relax on the beautiful sandy coast. Ask anyone, and they'll tell you that one of the most fun things to do on the Gold Coast is to try your hand at surfing.

  5. There are loads of surfing experts offering lessons on the beach, so grab a board and catch a wave! This is also a great area to try some delicious food and to do some shopping as there are many restaurants and shops that line the beach.

  6. Get Up Close to Local Wildlife If you're interested in seeing and learning about some of the native Australian wildlife, there's no better place than Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. No matter you're age, you will marvel at the chance to see native species like kangaroos and koalas, or the lorikeets which were the reason the park was founded in the first place.

  7. Drop by and take part in the lorikeet feeding, wander the beautiful grounds to see interesting wildlife and plants, or stop to see one of the many fun shows offered at the Sanctuary.

  8. Check Out the Rainforests The Gold Coast boasts incredible scenery and the opportunity to hike and explore natural landscapes that you just won't find anywhere else in the world. If you've always wanted to take a walk through a rainforest, don't miss the opportunity to explore Lamington National Park.

  9. Take the eco tour to the World Heritage listed rainforests and enjoy an exciting walk along the canopy on a treetop walk.

  10. If you've got to take a whirlwind trip to the Gold Coast, these are certainly some of the highlights, and offer a good sense of what's made the area so famous and a popular destination for locals and foreign travellers alike.
