  5. Examples • I have a garden in my back yard. • I had a garden in my back yard. • Eric had a dog named Ellie. • Eric has a dog named Ellie.

  6. Practice makes perfect • Please write 5 sentences in present tense. • Give your notebook to a classmate and convert their sentences into past tense.

  7. Questions with Have PAST DO vs. DOES Third person: Does Everything else: Do DID Dominant PRESENT Have: Stays the SAME

  8. Examples • Doyou have an Iphone? • Does he have a car? • Does the baby have a candy? • Did she haveAjiaco for lunch? • Did we have homework in math class? • Did they have an exam yesterday?

  9. Practice • Write 3 questions in present tense and 3 questions in past tense. • Must use have. • Revise a classmates questions and give them a checkmark if they are correct?
