  4. Before we buy and fertilize organic fertilizers, the first thing that we should do is trying to know the nutrient content of the organic fertilizers. The nutrient value of the compost depends on what organic matters people add to it when preparing the compost. But during the storage of organic fertilizer, improper storage measures tend to cause a loss of fertilizer effectiveness. How to avoid this phenomenon happening? There are some methods of avoiding organic fertilizer nutrient loss.

  5. There are many kinds of reasons to cause the nutrient loss of Urea, Ammonium bicarbonate fertilizer, storage condition is one of the most things. And organic fertilizer can cause huge loss of elements if undeserved in the process of storage and use. As some farmers arbitrary stack the rice husk manure, chicken manure and other raw materials, let them stand the wind blow, insolation, and drench, in such condition the Nitrogen of the manure become into gas and evaporate, soluble nutrients are drained away with the water leakage, and the organic fertilizer effect at a discount greatly.

  6. So during storage of organic fertilizer, we can do the following several aspects to prevent the loss of nutrients. 1.Prevent nutrient loss caused by chemical reactions. Human waste and plant ash is one example. Now there are still a lot of farmers pour some plant ash in faecal matter in order to prevent excrement flies or emits an odor. Plant ash contains a lot of potassium carbonate, and has alkaline pH; while human waste is acid organic fertilizer, so when they meet, acid-base neutralization, the nutrient will loss a lot. Therefore, in the manure compost processing process, we should separate human waste and plant ash to avoid by all means adding plant ash into the organic fertilizer and rain leaching.

  7. 2.Prevent gas volatilization of nutrient loss. It mainly refers to the nitrogen of organic fertilizer will be converted into ammonia in the process of decomposed and cause volatile loss. Like chicken manure and human waste, if not covered in the process of rotten, nitrogen loss is very serious. So when rotten, it must be covered tightly by no-damage plastic film. Accumulation and rotten time should not be too long. This fertilizer should be used as soon as possible after the rotten.

  8. 3. Prevent nutrient loss along with the water leakage. Some people always water husk , dung manure, cow dung and so on in order to make them become thoroughly decomposed. But they do not make seepage prevention measures so that the nutrition elements will lost when be watered up. So either using a cesspit or rotten on the ground, you must lay a plastic film to block nutrient lost with the water leakage under the compost. To be remember --watering must be moderate.
