This study examines the impact of removing infrequently used journal titles on the stability of the core journals list within a consortium of academic libraries. The research analyzes full-text article downloads from e-journal databases and identifies core journal lists for the consortium and member libraries. The findings show that removing a percentage of journal titles from the tail has minimal effect on heavily or intermediately used titles.
