This study analyzes the surface expression of CD40, CD80, and CD86 on freshly isolated and LPS-stimulated uraemic and normal monocytes under different culture conditions, including complete and uraemic media. Results demonstrate significant differences in Mean Fluorescence Intensity (MFI) values, indicating altered immune responses in uraemic monocytes. Thymidine incorporation assays reveal impaired proliferation in uraemic monocytes. Statistical significance was confirmed using the Mann-Whitney U test, highlighting the effects of uraemia on monocyte functionality and their downstream effects on dendritic cells.
