Some green tough love… • Did ARRA funds to CT stimulate our economy? • No cranes in the air • Nationally Venture capitalists invested $2.57 billion in the clean technology sector in the first quarter, up 13 percent from a year earlier Reuters reports. CT based venture capital funds to CT - totaled 1% according to the CT Venture Capital Network • There is no green genie rubbing a magic green lamp and creating green jobs. Most jobs moving forward will have tints of green aspects but very few will be truly green jobs. 4.
