  1. A Hospital Bag Checklist Before Bariatric Surgery

  2. Are you scheduled for bariatric surgery? If so, one of the most important things you can do is prepare your hospital bag! This checklist will help you make sure you have everything you need for your stay in the hospital.

  3. Comfortable Clothes to Wear Home from the Hospital Pack loose-fitting clothes and any other special needs, such as compression garments.

  4. Underwear and Bras that Fit Comfortably Many companies make special bariatric surgery garments that will be comfortable to wear post-op.

  5. Sanitary Napkins and Incontinence Pads You’ll also need to stock up on: 1. Absorbent underwear 2. Bedding protectors (for both chairs and beds) 3. Body wipes 4. Extra clothing (in case of accidents) 5. Plastic bags (for soiled clothes)

  6. Medications You will be given a list of medicines before and after surgery. These may include: 1. Antibiotics 2. Painkillers 3. Gastric acid reducers 4. Thiamine (vitamin B) supplements 5. Multivitamins 6. Iron supplements
