  2. Indigenous Peer Owned Programs • ValueOptions has emphasized the support of local peer owned organizations. • Where there are none they have emphasized supporting starting them. • Three of the best peer owned organizations in the country are • APAA (Texas) • M-Power (Mass) • CQI (Mass)

  3. Forensic Peer Specialists • Jefferson County has a mental health peer team of full and part time peers that help people labeled coming out of prisons and jails get resources to live independently. Some are peers from prisons and jails. • The unit is supervised by a full time peer supervisor.

  4. Illinois Peer Run Warm Line • ValueOptions Illinois has a peer run warm line with a half dozen or so full time peer employees running a warmline. • The supervisor is also a full time peer.

  5. Boulder Broomfield County Mental Health Center Re-Organization • The CEO of BBCMHC, Barbara Ryan has re-organized this center around recovery and skills based rehabilitation model. • She redesigned all positions as recovery or rehabilitation positions, asked everyone to resign and re-apply for the new recovery and rehabilitation positions. • The new array of positions includes many peer positions.
