School of Earth and Environment FACULTY OF ENVIRONMENT • The University of Leeds is based in northern England • The School of Earth and Environment comprises five research institutes • The Sustainability Research Institute is involved in ILHAM-EC • 35 academic staff; 25 postdocs; 60 PhD students • Expertise in participatory interdisciplinary research; sustainable land management; ecological economics; sustainable agriculture

School of Earth and EnvironmentFACULTY OF ENVIRONMENT Key Staff • Staff bring expertise in dryland development; environmental sustainability, institutional economics, ecological economics, sustainable agriculture etc • Leeds will sit on the Steering Committee and the Scientific Group • Contribute to all WPs to varying degrees Prof Lindsay Stringer Prof Andy Dougill Dr Claire Quinn & other staff and PhD students to be confirmed… Dr Stephen Whitfield
