  1. In this Sermon Series, we will be exploring "the full armor of God" that is described in Ephesians 6, why each piece is needed, and how to better live a victorious Christian life in a world full of darkness.

  2. “This is what Jesus did for me.”

  3. God stoops to the “guttermost” and saves to the uttermost.

  4. Isaiah 59: 9-17 The sinful and broken state of Israel is expressed in vivid detail…as well as God’s passionate desire for justice & how He rises up to save His people.

  5. Scripturally, we see the importance of repentance as it leads to a saving relationship with God. Repentance means a “change of mind”. “We have the mind of Christ.”- 1 Corinth. 2:16

  6. Although the helmet of salvation is essential… it is definitely not the only part of the “armor” that we should focus on. But, sadly, many stop here…and aren’t properly equipped for life’s “battles.”

  7. 1 Thessalonians 5:8 “But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet.”

  8. 2 Corinthians 10: 4-5 4 “The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. 5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”

  9. 2 Corinthians 4: 17-18 17 “For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”

  10. In our daily “battles,” let us resolve to not let Satan win the “mind games” that he so often tries to play… getting us to forget our identity in Christ or question our salvation in Him. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- “No…in all these things, we are more than conquerors through Him [Christ] who loved us.” - Romans 8:37
