Honoring Our Veterans: Eternal Rest and Grateful Remembrance

Memorial Day is a day to recognize the sacrifices of our veterans. Let us be grateful for the freedoms they have secured for us. It is the veterans who have given us freedom of religion, press, speech, assembly, fair trial, and the right to vote. They are the ones who salute and serve under the flag. May eternal rest be granted to them and perpetual light shine upon them. If we forget what they fought for, we risk losing the very freedoms they secured. Let us never forget the courage and dedication of our service members, no matter where they serve. God bless them all and may we always be proud to be American, united in our trust in God.
