Develop, test, and demonstrate a VR/AR system for CERN's Personal Safety System in extreme conditions. The project aims to create a fully integrated prototype and showcase its functionality during a planned maintenance activity at CERN. It involves testing modularity, scalability, and the control system. Project milestones include system integration, validation, and demonstration at CERN. ESR/ER collaboration is crucial for successful implementation.

WP6 : Integration, testing and demonstration at CERN of the Personal Safety SystemWP leader – CERN – SIC: O. Beltramello ESR/ER : All partners
An integrated system will be developed to test each component functionality, reliability and durability in extreme situations. This activity will then lead to the production of a fully integrated prototype of a wearable VR/AR system (+control system) which can be placed inside CERN’s Personal Safety System. After testing, the system will be demonstrated in a planned maintenance activity at CERN.During this phase, modularity and scalability (in terms of simultaneous users) will also be tested and demonstrated. This work requires participationof all partners including ESR12. One or two general design reviews are expected plus a production readiness review and two integrated system testing campaign in the ATLAS Environmental Areas. The ESR/ER will be asked to join the partners during the demonstration phase at the EDUSAFE Final conference.
