During the next days the system acquired some tropical/subtropical characteristics: hybrid storm
It developed a shallow warm core during the life cycle.
Since 3rd February the low evolved between Canary Islands and the Iberian Peninsula. GFE forecast also indicated some hybrid features during this period.
When moving to the Gulf of Cadiz the system retained some hybrid characteristics.
When the storm arrived to the Iberian Peninsula, the small scale cyclonic circulation was still evident.
