  2. Building Updates • Asha Austin sent $5000 to new building construction at Nagarbhavi (June 2008) • Construction in progress (ground floor & basement) • Tile work for floor starting (1 week to finish) • Electrical and plumbing on going • Completion in 2-3 wks, target move in is 10/1

  3. Building Updates • Initial move will be Administration • Partitions still needed for class rooms • 20-25 kids will be accommodated initially • Lease is Rs 1000 / year

  4. Building Updates • Total 18 lakhs received • 8 lakhs remaining • May need some funding to finish rooms • Future Plans • 1st and 2nd stories will likely be needed • Will obtain quote from architect

  5. Other Updates • Most kids will move to Nagarbhavi • Some transportation difficulties with some of the kids from villages • Autism unit will be set up at campus to address this • New urban location will likely see increased demand • Need to recruit more people with specific skill sets

  6. TEACHERS SALARIESPreviously approved budget (March 2008)

  7. New budget with Salary Increase New Total = Rs 47,500 per month Annual = Rs 570,000

  8. Summary • Old Budget : Rs. 501,500 per annum • New Budget : Rs. 570,000 per annum • Difference: Rs. 68,500 per annum • 6 Month amount = Rs 285,000 • $6,235 @ Rs 45.71/US$
