  1. API SC 10, Work Group 06 Update: Sub-Committee 10 WG 06 June 2017 • Compressive Strength

  2. Agenda: Tues, June 27th (9:15 AM – 10:00 AM) • WG Charge • Historical Compressive Strength Data • UCA and Cube Results • 10’ 10’’ Gel Measurements • Rheology Observations

  3. 10 WG 06 Work Group Charge: - Analyze data collected during the co-operative test series to understand variability in compressive strength results. - Refine and test procedures with the goal of reducing variability in test results

  4. Compressive Strength History

  5. Strength Observations (2016)

  6. Rheology 10’ 10’’ Gel (2016)

  7. Rheology Observations (2016)

  8. Conclusions • Historical Compressive Strength COV 19 – 40% • Historical relationship between UCA and Cube Compressive Strengths still hold true • Earlier compressive strength (8 hr) have more variability than later compressive strengths (24 hr) • 10 min gels have more variability than 10 sec gel • Rheology measurements COV 13 -21%

  9. Minutes • Called to order • Reviewed WG charge • Presented Historical 8 hr cube strength, and UCA data • Presented rheological data and COV for information to other Work Groups • Historical Compressive Strength COV 19 – 40% • Historical relationship between UCA and Cube Compressive Strengths still hold true • Earlier compressive strength (8 hr) have more variability than later compressive strengths (24 hr) • 10 min gels have more variability than 10 sec gel • Rheology measurements COV 13 -21% • Adjourned 9:50 am
