  1. The Silk Road By Nate Strout The Silk Road made China powerful. On the Silk Road Chinese merchants trade silk, porcelain, and jade for gold, silver, and gems. The Silk Road made China what it is today.

  2. Mongols and Merchants Mongols, (the main enemy of the ancient and medieval Chinese) treated Chinese merchants on the Silk Road very well. That’s odd because usually, when a country takes over another country. The enemy of the stronger country is usually treated like dirt! Not in this case!

  3. China and Merchants China treats their merchants badly. They are the target of heavy taxing. If you’re helping the country earn money, why are you being taxed? China wanted more control over merchants then them Mongols. The Mongols let them trade freely but the Chinese didn’t.

  4. The Chinese Gained The Silk Road made China powerful. On the Silk Road Chinese merchants trade silk, porcelain, and jade for gold, silver, and gems. The Silk Road made China what it is today.

  5. What The Chinese Traded • The Chinese did not just trade silk for gold, silver and other European goods. They also traded porcelain, which is special kind of clay often painted with blue designs. With this very fancy designs, the Chinese merchants often earned more than they should of got. They traded jade to. Jade a scared gemstone in china. On the Silk Road, the Chinese didn’t just trade silk.

  6. Trade is amazing. First, china was just a country. Then, because of trade china became one of the most powerful countries. That is why china became powerful.
