Specific Prayer Requests for October 2013: Health, Ministry, and Leadership

Throughout October 2013, we have specific prayer requests for various individuals and families. We pray for Wanda Strappazon's health amidst chronic illnesses, for ministry efforts and leadership development. For David Sparks, we ask for blessings as he leads a new men's Bible study and prepares for a language evaluation. We lift up Daniel and Marta Elisa Caceres to plant more churches and develop leaders. Bruce and Gloria Carlton need prayers for health and increased student involvement in global missions. Join us in these prayers for empowerment, health, and community service.

  1. October 6, 2013 Today’s Specific Prayer Requests for John and Wanda Strappazon For Wanda’s health. She has two painful chronic illnesses. For balancing time and effort in ministry. For exposing directors to be the best leaders, information, books, podcasts, and websites. For empowering, encouraging, and equipping directors. For health and safety on the highway for John.

  2. October 13, 2013 Today’s Specific Prayer Requests for David and Amy Sparks For David as he starts a new cell group/Bible study for men. For David as he prepares to take his final language evaluation. For volunteers to answer the call to assist with Upward Basketball Camp. For their ministry at the police department. For God to open doors for sharing of the Gospel.

  3. October 20, 2013 Today’s Specific Prayer Requests for Daniel and Marta Elisa Caceres For more opportunities to plant churches. For more leaders to be interested in attending CLD classes to equip them to be more effective church leaders. For the 100 plus Hispanic churches we have now in Oklahoma. For our pastors and their families to serve with excellence. For safety and good health for our family.

  4. October 27, 2013 Today’s Specific Prayer Requests for Bruce and Gloria Carlton That OBU would increase the number of students involved in global mission efforts by 100% in the coming year. Gloria has had some health problems and surgery. Pray for healing and health for her. That the recently formed Willis Center Council will effective work collaboratively with university colleges and departments leading to building a missional purpose university. For God to bring students into Bruce’s life to mentor.
