  5. Diet/Feeding • Feed on insects, spiders, worms • Larger species can eat lizards, snakes, small mammals • Detect prey with antennae • stun or kill with venom from fangs

  6. Reproduction • Sperm transfer is indirect • Male constructs web from glands in posterior end • Spermatophore emitted and placed in web • Female picks up and places in her gonopore. • 15-35 eggs laid in soil or hollowed out wood • Female winds body around egg mass and guards
