  4. Class Participation When a question is asked everyone’s hand is in the air because: • you know the answer, • you found the answer in your binder or • you need to ask a clarifying question.

This shows the speaker you respect what they have to say, so don’t be shy, engage. • Nod your head to signal you hear what the speak is saying and that you understand. • Criticism should be constructive and requested.
