  2. Shutdown 2008-2009 and Restart • 1. Linac II – PSB • - restart done (some auxiliary PSU out of order as usual)  all converters in REMOTE • - Enertron converters presented to David and Jeff • PS • - SMH16 and 26 (moved from 367 to 359)  installed, adjusted and tested OK • - SMH61 and 57 : see Vincent’s presentation • - more tests to be done for my personal understanding… • - testing of the spares (1 or 2 electronic cards) to be done (end of week) • - a spare electronic crate (GEREG crate+boards) is necessary, have to be ordered (who is in charge ?) and tested (when ???) JMC

  3. Shutdown 2008-2009 and Restart • Building 365 • - capacitor discharge converters to be adjusted and tested (end of this week) • CNGS Horn and Reflector • - thyristor racks installed and connected (except MCB status) • - some mechanical improvements to be finished (cabling and short-circuiters) • - tests to be done ( April 2009) JMC

  4. MegaDiscaP 2009 • Prototype Power Part • - mounting and cabling finished • - first tests to be done asap • Electronic crate • - schematic done • - backplane designed, received and mounted • - cabling of the crate to be done • Active Filter • - design 80% done (except dead times generation) • - mounting and cabling to be done (material has been ordered and received) • Maquette • - tests show we are on the good way (FPGA/DSP minor problem still to be solved) • Planning • - End of HELEN collaboration in April - Prototype validated (or not) in August • - paper for EPE in May ? JMC

  5. LHC 4-6-8 kA • Personal Study on going • - simplified global schematic (modifications of existing schematics ??) • - converter environment (FGC, interlocks) • - simulations (SIMPLORER) to be done • - tests and measurements (A7) • Documentation to be done • - see Vincent • and more... • LHC 13 kA • I’ve seen some converters of this type in the tunnel ! • 2. Difficult to start something before May-June 2009 JMC

  6. Minidiscap (Serge) • Technical specification started • Topology ? Control ? Interface ? • LHC Upgrade (Yves) • first simulations ASAP ( April 2009) JMC
