  3. Total Health Worksheet • Total health is a combination of : • Physical • Mental • And social well-being

  4. Physical Health • Fitness • Good grooming • Well-balanced diet • Meeting life’s demands On your worksheet, please provide examples of those listed above. For example: Fitness- bike riding to school.

  5. MentalHealth • Liking who you are • Accepting yourself • Express emotions in a healthy way • Dealing with stress and problems On your worksheet, please provide examples of those listed above. For example: Accepting yourself- accepting all the good and bad traits you have.

  6. Social Health • Getting along with others • Working well in a group • Making and keeping friends • Giving and getting support On your worksheet, please provide examples of those listed above. For example: Working well in a group- Listening to other peoples ideas

  7. The Health Triangle • What type of triangle is this? • Why a triangle? PHYSICAL MENTAL SOCIAL

  8. Your goal should be: • Work on your weaknesses • Understand that not every day will be balanced • Your triangle is always changing • Focus on your strengths • To achieve a balanced triangle on most days

Health Triangle Activity • Begin by reading “Your Health Triangle Activity Worksheet.” • Add up your yes answers for each section (physical, mental, and social). • For each yes cut out a block for that dimension. • Once you have cut out all of your strips, form a triangle and tape it to the back of the “total health worksheet.” • Do not forget to answer the questions on the bottom of the total health worksheet.

  12. Think, Pair, Share • Pair up with the person next to you and explain the definition of total health. • Why a triangle? • Share 1 thing you’re good at and 1 thing to improve on. • What was today’s thinking skill?

  13. Closure Underneath the triangle you created write a short summary (4 sentences) of what you believe you can improve on when it comes to your health.
