  1. Illegal Heavy Mineral Mining Cannot Even Be Proved On Paper

  2. The central government recently cracked down on the state government of various coastal states suspecting foul play in the mining industry and a possibility of illegal heavy mineral mining. http://vvmineralblog.wordpress.com

  3. However, after raising a hue and cry, it seems that the central government might have to bite its own words since there is no clear classification on the exportable heavy minerals and the state in which they can be used or restricted. http://vvmineral.wordpress.com

  4. When the Nehru government came to effect in 1947, the the Prime Minister was prompt and quick in banning all heavy minerals from export and ensuring that no illegal heavy mineral mining is initiated. http://vvmineralmining.wordpress.com

  5. Initially only government bodies such as the Department of Atomic Energy, etc. could mine, access and utilize such heavy minerals. http://vvmineral-mining.blogspot.in

  6. However, over the years many heavy minerals have been listed under exportable heavy minerals. This listing has been shuffled and reshuffled over the years; leaving not just the official but the mining industrialists confused as well. http://vvmineralmining.blogspot.in

  7. Even though using sand for mining is not illegal, it is illegal to mine thorium. However, now the government claims that the very exporting of sand is an offence and has currently called it a heavy mineral mining scam. http://vvmineralmining.blogspot.in
