  2. A CBI inquiry has been sought by members of Fishermen United Front into the illegal beach sand mining. Director Secretary of the Front, A. Subash Fernando quoted that the coastal population had little faith in the inquiry team set up by CM Jayalalitha. http://vvmineralblog.wordpress.com

  3. The reason for low confidence in the judiciary shown by Fishermen United Front is yet unclear. However, the chairman of VV Minerals India, Vaikundarajan has been falsely accused of having connections with the CM. http://vvmineral.wordpress.com

  4. VV Mineral was founded in late 90s at Manavalakurichi in Kanyakumari district. Recently, it has been accused of monopolizing the mining industry.   5. The fisherman associations and former IAS officers have accused VV Minerals of illegal beach sand mining in the southern districts. Furthermore, government officials involved in investigations are said to have been transferred or demoted.
